Valen has been an athlete his entire life. In high school, he competed for a final four position in New York City Public School Athletic League championship for basketball. After high school, Val attended The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) where he majored in illustration. While at FIT, he played college basketball for the NJCAA and it is this experience as an athlete that sparked Val’s interest in sports specific training.
Valen’s areas of specialization include weight loss and gain, body toning, shaping, and strength and flexibility training. He believes that eating natural high quality live foods, managing stress through exercise, and being thankful and enjoying life are the best ways to keep fit, keep weight in check and allow your body to thrive.
Valen has worked as a football coach, an aerobics trainer, and most recently as a highly sought after trainer at the New York Sports Club working with a diverse group of clients.
