| Dear Anthony,

Fitness expert Clinton Coley is a firm believer in the art of shadow boxing. Shadow boxing is an exercise utilized in the training for combat sports, especially in boxing. It is used mainly to warm the muscles before the person training engages in stronger physical activity. In shadow boxing, only one person is needed to participate; and the participant throws punches at no one. So how can shadow boxing be utilized as cardio?

Shadow Boxing Sheds Pounds

Shadow boxing is a vigorous and stimulating exercise. One most utilize his hands, feet and head very well to perform this exercise correctly. It consists of striking of the fist, shuffling of the feet, and rapid lateral head movements. shadow boxing can be very exhausting, and regular breaks should be implemented. To get great cardio out of shadow boxing you can start with 1 min of intense work with 30 seconds rest in between for 15 min. Start slow and gradually progress to perfect the routine.
