Superior Abdominal Tip by Tony Thomas
Dear Anthony,

We all love to discover new ways to make those abdominal muscles show. But before I show you my exercise tips, I want everyone to get this one point clear, "proper eating and cardio is essential if you want to get lean abdominals". There is absolutely no way around it!

If you have excess bodyfat in your midsection, chances are you wont see your abs from doing millions of crunches. You will in fact have muscle development from those exercises, but to actually see that development cardio and diet must be implemented strategically in your workout. Remember, these exercise tips will build muscle but cardio burns fat. You should do cardio for at least 45 minutes 3 times per week.

Superior Abdominal Tip: The Proper Crunch
Lie on back with feet placed up against a wall or a bench for constant spine support. Hands should be behind the head or neck. Elevate the upper body slowly towards your knees so that the shoulders lift up slightly towards the hips. Hold in the contracted position for a second then very slowly lower the torso back to the starting position.

Breathing is vital during this exercise for maximum abdominal contraction. Exhale as the body raises and inhale as the body lowers. Do not pull on the back of the head too hard when raising the shoulders from the floor. Do 3 sets and 20 repetitions in a smooth continuous style, without resting at the initial start phase. When performed correctly this exercise is great for upper abdominals and core strength.
