What Should I Do If My Weight Loss Plateaus?
Dear Anthony,
In order to overcome a plateau we must first
understand why they come. 1. Sometimes we
lose too much muscle. Your muscle aids in
maintaining your metabolism. Reducing your
muscle mass can slow down or hinder your
weight loss. 2. Another reason we might
plateau is if we lose weight too quickly.
This usually comes from a drastic change in
your diet. When you subtract a lot of
calories from your diet, your body senses
starvation and will automatically slow down
your metabolism.
Solution: Change Up Your Routine
Try doing other things along with your
regular routine. If you do yoga, try a step
class. If you are a spin class fanatic, try
to do the stair climber or weight training.
Keep your training fresh so you can move
forward with your weight loss!!!
